These days a lot of Scandinavian brands are looking into the possibilities of introducing themselves in the Russian market – or they are on the verge of optimizing the current presence in this market. Both makes sense as the Russian market holds great possibilities – and the interest for Nordic brands has only grown in the many years, I have handled sales and distribution in Russian within especially premium luxury brands, healthcare, mobile and it.
Yet Russia can be a hard nut to crack – because how do you secure the right approach in a gigantic country with a foreign culture influenced by both political and business-oriented challenges? In my experience it all comes down to a deep cultural insight, the right partners, and a strong focus on execution.
I have 11 years of experience of creating results in the Russian market – for brands such as B&O but also as General Manager for Nokia where I was directly placed in the field and helped secure a radical growth. Therefor I know how to create a team and a network of partners that performs best in class in this culture. And I know the right partners – not only within the large metropolis Moscow and St. Petersburg but also in the cities placed around the country with more than 1 million inhabitants.
