I disse år drømmer mange skandinaviske brands om at etablere sig på det russiske marked – eller står overfor at skulle optimere deres tilstedeværelse i markedet. Og det er bestemt en god ide: Det russiske marked er lukrativt, og interessen for Skandinavien er kun steget i de mange år, jeg har beskæftiget mig med salg og distribution i Rusland inden for særligt premium luxary brands, healthcare, mobile & it.

Alligevel så kan Rusland godt være en svær nød at knække for mange. For hvordan går man egentlig lige til dette gigantiske land, som, udover at have en helt anden kultur end vores, også er præget af politiske og businessrelaterede udfordringer?  Min erfaring er, at det hele handler om et godt kendskab til kulturen, netværk og et fokus på performance.

Jeg har 11 års erfaring med resultater på det Russiske marked – bl.a. for brands som B&O og som General Manager for Nokia, hvor jeg var med til at sikre, at bundlinjen vækstede radikalt. Derfor ved jeg også, hvordan man skaber partnere og et team, der performer maksimalt i denne kultur. Og jeg ved, hvem de helt rigtige partnere er – ikke kun inden for store metropoler som Moskva og Sankt Petersborg. Men også uden for metropolerne, hvor der er mange store byer med over 1 mio. indbyggere – men også større kulturforskelle og dermed brug for et netværk af distributører og retailere, som kender kulturen og feltet der.
